Family Visitors

My beautiful family came too see me this weekend. They wanted warm weather before the freezing Utah winter started in full force. Sadly, Florida had a freak cold weather front and it was very cold. We weren't really prepared, and froze, but we still had a blast. We stayed at the Hyatt in Tampa and went to Busch Gardens for 2 days. We all loved the shows, the awesome rides, and the girls LOVED the animals. It was so fun to take them around and see their reactions. Lexi's favorite was definitly the tigers and was so mad that we made her leave, while Charlotte seemed to like the birds. Yes, the regular birds. It's pretty easy to make her happy :) It was so fun to let the girls play together. They are both the only child for now and needless to say are awful at sharing. We had a few tug-o-wars and a few biting incidents, but for the most part they really enjoyed eachother. We got asked many times if they were twins. We just started saying yes. They have such different personalities which made it so much fun.

We stayed in the Hyatt suite for 1 night because long story short the U.S. Marines ticked Chad off. Holy cow are those rooms huge and nice. 1500 a night. Who pays that??? It was very nice to be pampered though. Especially for Chad & Kina who stayed up with Charlotte all night long because she was sick. The joys of being a parent!

Funny story! My mom loves fudge. She got 6 squares of different fudges and we all tried some, including Lexi (not with my approval "MOM"). Lexi LOVES food, now, including fudge. She was mad when I made Grandma stop feeding her. The next morning, I walk in to find her with a whole square of fudge with probably 1/3 eaten. I took a picture, laughed, and took it away. Wow, the tears just came pouring out! She makes the cutest pouting faces, I felt bad, but I would have felt worse if she was sick, right??

We went to Clearwater beach on Sunday and had a good time picking up seashells and eating sand. I sure am going to miss being by the ocean. Good thing I'll still be pretty close. Just not every weekend close. We ate really good food and just enjoyed being together as a family, although we REALLY missed having Jesse with us.
Jesse is doing great in training and has 1 more month away from home. We can't wait to see him! Thanks Mom, Kina and Chad for coming to visit me. I miss you all!

How great to have your family come visit! I bet it made all the difference having familiar faces around when Jesse is gone. That's HILARIOUS that your mom gave Lexi fudge...absolutely hilarious! I remember watching my mom sneak Rindi's son suckers all the time. I guess that's just a grandmother's job, right? She apparently does it VERY well!

Glad you had fun and good luck through this last month without your husband. I'll be praying that it goes quickly and smoothly for you both!
