Our busy September

With baby #2 quickly approaching, we decided to get a few projects done that we wanted accomplished before she got here. We have been very busy.

Project #1
Potty Training....this task is not done, but we are making good progress. Anyone with advice please give it. This has been the hardest thing ever. Lexi is still very young, but she is very smart too, luckily! How can people afford to have 2 kids in diapers??? Well, we might have to figure it out! We are on week 3, and it is wonderful when we are in the house. She will go on her own, but as soon as we are outside, with friends, or anywhere else she says that she doesn't have to go, and will throw a fit if I take her. My other mistake was keeping her naked all this time. Now, i've been putting panties on her and she forgets to take them off. She'll go to the potty, but with her clothes on!! I have learned how unpatient I really am. At least I have a few more weeks to work with her, but i'm not sure how to get her to realize she needs to go all of the time, not just at the house?!

Project #2

Jesse got surgery for a deviated septum yesterday and will be recovering at home for the next week and a half to 2 weeks. Everything went well, and we are so excited to see how much this helps him breath better.

Project #3
We are geniuses and decided to dig an inground trampoline by ourselves, i mean by Jesse's self. I wanted to help, but he wouldn't let me. We thought it might take a couple of days, and then realized how crazy we were about day 1. Jesse was bound and determined to do it, and I can't believe it is done, but it is! We planted grass and finished the tramp. Our backyard is SO nice and we are so excited to be able to use it and have lots of room to run and play. Jesse and I have enjoyed his bigger pectorals and smaller waistline!

Project #4

Tess's room is done and turned out so cute. We can't wait to put her cute little bumb in her bed, in a few months!

We've also been having some fun. Lexi is suddenly in love with hats and had to play dress up the other day. She LOVES looking at herself after. We went to the braves game. We've taken lots of baths to rinse off the pee, and she passed out watching t.v. (so cute)!!

I am in shock and awe that Jesse dug that by himself!! WOW! What a sweet daddy. I love your cute house and baby room, you have been working so hard. Cool for you that you can think of names before baby arrives... we suck at it. Can't wait to see her little face.

What a cute house! I love it all. I also can not believe that Jesse dug that huge hole by himself. That is amazing! Also, Lexi is the cutest thing I have ever seen. I miss her and you! She is so fun. I love her personality. What a cute family! I am jealous... yes I am jealous! :) Miss you!

For some reason, knowing the Allens and his mom's family, I AM NOT SURPRISED JESSE IS CRAZY ENOUGH TO DIG A HUGE HOLE LIKE THAT. All you had to do was tell him may be he couldn't and I bet he would do it just to show you! :) Love, love, love his family, strong and strong willed! I really commented to say, I have potty trained 3 older siblings before a new baby arrives and all 3 regressed a bit when the baby came! UGH! Don't sweat it too much, she'll figure it out. And, the best incentive I had was to only give fruit snacks after they go potty. For some reason the love of fruit snacks is very motivating! GOOD LUCK with everything! And you aren't the only mom to realize your inpatience when potty training, it is HARD!

Lol....not at all surprised Jess dug that hole by himself...knowing his genetics! They would dig it out with their hands if they had to! Lol! Best book about potty training....it's called "toilet training in 3 days" worked like a charm...and absolutely no pull-ups...she is growing up so beautiful!
