Allen Family Adventures: Holidays & the New Year

Concealed permits! Yep, after a rather scary incident in a movie theater, we both decided to get concealed permits and carry. I am so glad we did it. I hope I will never have to use it though. I'm not sure why Jesse wanted to look like a cereal killer on his photo, but he did a good job!

Our little Lexi had her first gymnastics performance and rocked at it! She is the hardest worker when it comes to gymnastics. She is incredibly talented but puts a lot of work into it. At 5 years old she can do her side splits, amazing cartwheels, round-offs, back walk overs, front walk overs and is not very close on her side aerials and her back handsprings.

Our little Maverik is 7 months old. He is finally sleeping mostly through the night. He is crawling and pulling himself up on things. He is still so smiley and adorable we love him. He is getting so busy and wants to walk a lot. He is finally on a bottle and holds it by himself! He weighs 16 pounds 3 oz. which is the 8%. He is 27 1/4 inches tall and is in the 50% for height. His head is 17 1/4 which is the 30%. He loves food, puffs and wants to eat people food.

These lucky ducks got to have an early Christmas with Grandma Lambert since we were going to be in Kingston with the Allen's.

We were really worried about Christmas this year since Jesse is still out of work, but it has turned into the best Christmas yet. My family spoiled the kids, and someone did the 12 days of Christmas for us. It was such an emotional experience. They went all out and gave us the most thoughtful gifts ever. It brought Jesse and I to tears on several occasions. The kids looked forward to every night. We are so grateful for the Christmas spirit that it brought into our home and for their service and love.

Then, they got to open up Brandi and Aaron's very thoughful gifts. Brandi made these adorable scripture bags for the girls. They adore them!

They sure know Bodee well. He loves his remote control car.

Our sweet little Tess lite up the stage at her dance recital. She is a little monster at dance class and is a difficult little girl to get to do anythings, but she surprised us all and did amazing. She knew the whole dance and had the girls watching her. She sure looked beautiful too!

Temple Square. One of the coldest nights and my poor hubby had to do it on crutches. Man he is a good looking dude! I am one lucky girl! It was beautiful and very cold.

Christmas at Grandma and Grandpa Allen's was a blast. The kids had so much fun with their cousins. We went sledding, make gingerbread houses, did toys for tots, saw Santa Claus, went hot tubbing many times, and had a lot of fun.

CHRISTMAS MORNING

Lexi's 6th Birthday. Our little beauty is getting so old. She is a sweetheart and never wants to hurt anyone's feelings. She is extremely shy, funny, smart and loves gymnastics and horses. She is reading pretty well and really like math.

Instead of having a birthday party, we went to the aquarium and had a lot of fun.

Jesse and I going to my friend Lindsey Wolfs wedding. It was fun to go out on the town and party!

Bodee Boy's birthday party! 2 years old!! He weighs almost as much as Tess 28 pounds. 50% He is 33 1/2 inches tall and is in the 50%. His head is 19 inches in the 40%. Very average little dude, but 100% energy and personality. He is so hard, and he is so funny.

He loves tools and is always trying to put things together.

He LOVES fishing and shooting.

He makes the funniest faces and is such a stud muffin. He still doesn't sleep well at night, but I love to cuddle him. He is always making messes. He clasps his hands for prayers and is starting to talk really well.
