December Festivities

One of our favorite Christmas movies is Christmas with the Cranks, so what a fun surprise when Jesse got the chance to fly Santa Clause on the movie. Jesse said he was a really sweet guy.
Jesse, who is the Sunday School President in the ward, was in charge of the ward Christmas party. We had a good time and the Santa did an awesome job. None of our kids would look Santa in the eye, and obviously Maverik wasn't having it which surprised me because he goes to most people.
Of coarse Christmas is full of so many fun activities. We had so much fun this season. Jesse had vacation month and he didn't have to work very much. We saw lots of Christmas lights, had lots of hot chocolate, and finally had some snow to go sledding. We tuckered this cute boy out.

Temple Square. My mom's business does a special dinner every Christmas season. This year we went to the Garden which overlooks Temple Square. The food was amazing and we had a really good time walking around to see the lights afterwards. It wasn't even very cold this year which was amazing!
The girls got to release balloons out of the open roof for their birthdays
This place is beautiful. We lost Bodee this night and it was the worst moment ever. I've never had so much panic in my heart. Temple square is so crowded and when you have a lot of people there its easy to think someone else has your kid. He ran all the way around this huge pond and some nice mom stopped him and helped him find me. I was hysterical afterwards and very grateful for good people who care.
Making cookies just to eat the frosting.
The North Pole at 7 peaks water park was a blast. It was freezing cold this night so we didn't get to stay long but it was a lot of fun. They had bumper boats, sledding down the water slides and train rides. I love that these kids are getting old enough to actually do fun things and not have it be so hard.
Temple square 2 times! Jesse's cute family came down for Christmas and they hadn't been to temple square in a really long time so we went to the Draper tree of life and temple square and had a really good time.
Christmas Eve was amazing. We had such a good time. We got to Aunt Nicole's house to open up our pajamas for the Polar Express.
The kids could not have enjoyed their pajamas from Grandma anymore than they did. They fit perfect and were adorable.
Of coarse I couldn't get any cute pictures of them together!
The goofy grandkids
And the whole crazy crew

We had so much fun singing Christmas Carols, seeing Santa Clause and having awkward (for me and Jess) Mistletoe kisses!
We got our own jingle bells, hot chocolate with mugs and cookies.
Tess sang as loud as she could and Bodee plugged his ears and refused to make eye contact with the train workers. Those kids make us laugh!
My family does a Christmas Eve pageant every year and this was our first year to be in it. Tess did a fabulous job being an angel.
Maverik killed it as a lamb, ok he was actually into everything, and Lexi was a little upset about being a wise men, but she looked so cute!
Bodee showed some possibilities of being a good dad as Joseph. Chantelle and Bodee are always being destined to be married so this role suited them well and she was a fabulous mommy.
Pay did a great job on baby duty and as a shephard.

CHRISTMAS DAY
The girls both wanted mermaid tails from Santa and Bodee asked for Paw Patrol. He is slightly obsessed with Paw Patrol.
To say the kids were spoiled is an understatement. What an amazing Christmas for all of us. The best part was seeing our kids excited faces and especially getting to see Jesse's brother via skype for the first time in 18 months. He is serving in Ghana Africa and hasn't had good enough service to skype before. He looks great, sounds weird, and we can't wait to see him in 6 months.
The cheap light sabors were one of the boys favorite toys.
The tablets have been overused and time limits are having to be set! I cant believe how well Bodee works them.
This sweet car has been fun, but on Christmas Day it snowed like crazy so we resorted to driving it inside. You'll see below the result of that decision.
Sharing!
Our Concequences!
It was so fun to have Grandma and Grandpa Johnson with us. Grandpa made a great wrapping paper cleaner upper!
Later on Christmas Day we went to Nicole's house for an amazing Christmas dinner that was decorated so beautifully. We opened presents from eachother and had a really fun evening with games, food, dancing and fun! I love my family!

Lexi's 7th birthday
The day after Christmas we decided to have a little friends birthday party for this big girl. There were only 6 little girls including Makayla and Charlotte and it was utter craziness. Girls are so loud! We took the girls sledding and then back for pizza, donuts and hot chocolate. It was a fun party and she felt very special. At 7 she wants to be a hair saloner. Her favorite color is hot pink, her favorite food is enchiladas and she rocks at tumbling. She is a great friend and sister and we sure love having this girl around. She is 40% for height and 50 for weight and a healthy and happy little girl!

The next day we drove down to Kingston to spend the next week with Jesse's family. Lexi got a very special birthday present and got to go on a trail ride with her Dad and Grandpa and ride the horse all by herself. I hear she did awesome. I was nervous the whole time. These horses aren't ridden as often as they should be.
Of coarse the boys went fishing!
Grandma Allen's pond behind the house froze over this year and was actually nice enough to go skating on. The weather was awesome too. I was very impressed by how quickly Lexi picked it up. Tess did pretty darn good too!

Strangely this is something I've always wanted to see. It was awesome to see so many cows and a dairy barn operation. It is amazing and it smelled horribly!
And on to another day of super fun sledding. These kids hated sledding last year, except for lexi, and Jesse and I love it so it was so fun to have them enjoy it this year.

Man my husband is such a hotty. And so is that snowman!
These little trouble makers are almost exactly 1 year apart and Maverik loves him. I'm not sure the feeling is mutual right now, but i'm sure they will be best buds.
This is the end of the nursery year and the last year my boys will be in together. They both loved nursery and all of their friends. This nursery has a TON of boys. Now poor Maverik is going to be with all girls when the big boys moved up classes!
I will always remember Tess for her outfits that she chooses for bedtime. Oh boy!
To end the month we had another big scare with this little guy. He fell off the top bunk (Says Bodee) and long story short he couldn't walk for 6 days. We took him to two different ER's and they couldn't find anything wrong with him. We ended up going to our chiropractor friend who finally was able to adjust things and get him walking, but it was quite the scare. Our Christmas wish was to have this little guy walk and God granted us another miracle. This poor little guy!
