April 2021

We have had one school year of this little guy being our tag along to lunch dates, work projects, shopping and everything in between from 11:15-3. We have enjoyed this little ray of sunshine with us. He is hilarious and keeps us on our toes. He will be greatly missed next year.
This was Bodee's last season at Copper Mountain. He is sure going to miss his buddies that he's played with over the last 2 years but he is moving on to an academy league at USA soccer. He is going to thrive there and has well outgrown rec league soccer. He is incredible to watch and truly the leader of the team both athletically and as a friend. We have been very impressed with his skills.
Jesse was able to coach them again and and he did an amazing job nurturing each child and there individual skills and needs. He had kids that were scared to kick the ball to those who should have really been on a higher level and he handled them so perfectly and kindly. I was always proud he was mine when he was out on the field.
Jesse and I got to Goblin Valley before everyone else. We found a beautiful camp site and tried to capture the gorgeous sunset. Of coarse, its near impossible to get a great sunset picture but we sure had fun trying.
Freedom in the outdoors is something we sure look forward to. Riding the 4 wheelers, exploring the terrain, getting nice and dirty and of coarse eating all of the snacks that Grandma Johnson and Grandma Allen brought.
The sites were awesome, the weather was perfect and we got along so well together.
Zeke, Bodee, and Mav were glued at the hip. They had so much fun together.
We went on some scary trails that sent Whitney into tears. (they were a blast)

Our goal on every camping trip is to teach the kids something new everytime. This trip we tried to teach them how to start a fire with a flint. (I think thats what its called)! I was able to start one after much of an attempt. Lexi and Bodee were so close. The kids all had so much fun trying. Definitely something we will have to try again.
Another attempt was the dead fall trap to try and catch mice. It was a very last minute put together trap that was not successful. At least, this time!
We got Maverik a very early birthday gift because Jesse couldn't wait to give it to him! He was very excited and hasn't stopped riding it.
We have been horrible at doing family home evening lately. We just started it back up again and the kids are constantly fighting over who gets to do the lesson which I couldn't be happier about. Maverik gave a great lesson on who said it, a prophet or a princess. It was a great lesson and afterwards bore his testimony for the first time by himself. It was so precious. He said that Jesus believes in him. It was so raw and real. I was very touched to see him make such progress on his testimony.
