Family Vacation

We have had a blast the last two weeks. We were so lucky to be able to leave town for two weeks on vacation. We went to Yellowstone for a week with my family and then we stayed in Kingston for a week with Jesse's family. We loved yellowstone. It's so pretty and there is so much to do. Lexi had a blast with all of her cousins. We saw a lot of beautiful waterfalls and went on some pretty hikes. It was so much fun to be together as a family again. We unfortunatly don't get that very often. Hopefully soon! We were lucky enough to have a black bear walk right by our car. Who says they are mean. They look so cuddly and nice.

We went on a river rafting trip & Jesse's grandpa is in amazing shape for almost being 70 (i hope i can reveal that) It was a lot of hard work, but definitly worth it, we had so much fun. We also had a baby shower for my sister-in-law Amy who is due any day with a little girl. Yep, another girl in the family. Lexi is so lucky. She was able to play with her other cousin Destri as well, who is just so adorable and does the cutest "silly" face! We miss everyone already and are so greatful everyone took off work to spend time with us.

4th of July festivities! Growing up my Dad was in the Air Force and we were a very patriotic family. I have always loved living in this country and am so greatful to all of those who serve. This time of year is bittersweet for me. It is my favorite holiday, but it also marks 3 years since i've seen my Dad, and it makes it hard. I miss him very much, but I do still feel his presence in my life all of the time. I can't wait to see him again one day. We had my family and Jesse's family together to watch fireworks. We had a lot of fun!

Lexi updates...

6 months 26.25 inches long, 17 pounds 9 ounces which is the 75% for both. She is perfect! She has been crawling for the last couple of weeks and said mama on her 6 months birthday. I was extremely happy, although i think it was not on purpose. She can stand herself up now, and we had to lower the crib all the way down because of a almost accident. She is ALWAYS moving. She is extremely mobile and we had to completly baby proof the house now. I'm sure she'll be walking in a couple of months. She is extremely motivated. She has been sleeping through the night for a month now. She just started doing that over night and we are extremely greatful. She is such a happy baby and is always smiling. We love her so much!
