We are so happy to have little Bodee in our family. We had been going back and forth on whether to have him c-section or vaginal birth since Tess had her shoulder get stuck during labor. We knew Bodee was going to be bigger and the dr's were concerned. We finally decided although I didn't want a c-section that it was the safest option for us. It definitely wasn't the magical experience that I had with Tess, but most importantly is that we are both in perfect shape. Recovery has been rough, but again is so worth it to have our healthy little man here. The girls sure do love him and Lexi insisted that her hair be curled to meet him! Tess has been a sweetheart. We were both worried about how she would react since she is such a mama's girl, but she loves him. She of coarse started peeing her pants since his arrival, but I was expecting that.
We didn't get a hospital room until about 4 PM that day because the hospital was so crowded, but we finally got a room and my mom and sister Brandi got to come spend some time with us. I am so grateful that they could come and help us with the girls.
Our first family photo. Yuck I was a swollen mama. No judgements!
The fun sleepless nights at the hospital. You'd think they would have softer couches.
Love at first sightWe luckily got to come home 2 days later and enjoy family time. However, I understand why people would want to stay in the hospital for 4 days now.
Yep, little bodee looks just like Jesse I think. Little studs.
Bodee hates being cold and not being held. He is already a little spoiled.
Our little jaundice baby. All 3 kids have A+ blood type which apparently does not mix well with my O+ blood and they have all had jaundice. The girls had to on lights at the hospital. Bodee was not as bad as them and didn't have to be under the lights, but he had to get blood drawn every day for 8 days. The heel prick was torture everyday, but his levels are finally going down.Tess likes to cover him up and put him to sleep and Lexi likes to read him books and tell him stories.
Our little slugger. I hope he likes baseball as much as we force it on the poor boy!
Yep his tongue is always out. Man he is cute!! I don't want him to ever grow up since he is our last. It is bittersweet. I know it is the right thing to do, but I sure will miss these sweet moments with a newborn!
