Our first family photo. Wow we are lucky to have these cute kiddos!
The kids loving on their new brother. I thought Bodee was going to hurt him or possibly eat him, but he loves on Mav so much!
Everyone kept telling us how awesome hospitals are in Utah. I hate to admit it, but they are right! It was a great experience, one of our best. We had so many family members come to see us and we were so grateful.

July 29, 2015
Man, a whole lot has happened in just over two months. We have had some exciting adventures. The first is of coarse the birth of our sweet baby boy Maverik Cody Allen. Maverik arrived on June 4, 2015 at 7:57 AM via c-section. He was 7 lbs. 5 oz. and 20 inches long. He came out with lots of dark brown hair, and of coarse a dimple in his chin. A few hours later my mom discovered that he had two of the cutest dimples in him cheeks as well. He is an overall cutie pie. He is healthy and happy. He is the only one of our kids that has my blood type O+ which means that he didn’t have ABO incompatability and didn’t have jaundice because of it. Because we were both doing so well, we got to go home in 2 days which doesn’t happen very often with c-sections. He is such a joy to have around and I can tell our family is now complete. He slept a lot as a newborn and spit up A LOT. Just like Lexi and Bodee did! He is now 7 weeks old and is sleeping decently. He wakes up about 2 times for food but the second time he doesn’t like to go back to sleep. So, it’s kind of a party at about 3:30 AM. Bodee still wakes up too, so I’m pretty tired all of the time, but I’m so happy to not be pregnant anymore! I am recovering pretty well, but still am not allowed to work out. I am looking forward to fitting in my clothes comfortably again. Maverik started to play with the toys on his play mat at about 7 weeks old. He is also staying awake for much longer periods of time now. He is very loved around this house. He is kissed and hugged constantly! He is breastfeeding very well and is only fed bottles when I am away, which is not very much! We took Maverik to a Bee’s game when he was 8 days old. He has been to St. George twice, California for a funeral, and flew on an airplane. He is a very traveled little boy so far in his short life. He is such a good boy and we are so happy to have him. As soon as I was able to walk around we have been having a lot of fun. Hiking a lot, camping, family reunions, and getting Lexi ready for school. She starts on August 4th which is 6 days away. I have already cried a lot. Its fun seeing her grow up, but I will miss her a lot. She went in or her Kindergarten assessment yesterday and scored at the low end of the highest grading bracket, which means she is testing above her grade. I am very proud of her. She is excited to start, but is very nervous. Tess has a serious love for all animals. She is the only one who will hold frogs, lizards, rolly pollies, anything that moves. She thinks that she is super brave because she barely puts her head in the water! The kids had so much fun in St. George. We swam a lot. Lexi is swimming great all by herself. We took the girls to Tuachann to see “Wish upon a Star.” The girls had a lot of fun. It was a great play. Bodee is a crazy boy in the pool and jumps in with no fear. I just took my real estate test yesterday on the first try (which I guess is pretty hard to do). I am going in today to sign paperwork to work for Keller Williams Reality. I am really excited to work. Jesse has had a better schedule for the last couple of months which we have really been happy about. Jesse is scheduled for surgery on October 4th and then he will be out of work for a few months. We are nervous about that, but pray that he can getter a better job after he is better.
As of June 21st Bodee can say cracker, banana, mom, dad, ball, truck, drink, and him and Tess get into SO much mischief.
While reading the kids scriptures one night we were reading about the walls of Jericho and Lexi starts singing “And the walls kept tumbling down in the city.” Tess sang “How did Moses cross the red Sea” when we were reading about Moses. She also asked when we were at the Paysen temple open house if Jesus would be there!
