July Fun

On the fourth of July we were able to spend the day with my awesome in laws and their family near Oakley, Utah. Jesse's Aunt Kim has a beautiful cabin there right by a river. The whole family got together for a reunion just in time for Zack to leave on his mission.
I love this picture of my awesome father in law and Mav.
We drove down early so we could go to the parade in this little town. It was a really good parade and the weather was perfect. These little girls melt my heart. They sure love being together. Look at those little stepping stools.

The Allens can't possibly do an outing without some sort of animal brutality!! They had fun fishing and Whitney even caught her first fish while fly fishing. Jesse said it was hilarious.

 Little fishing buddies.
I'm not sure about these poses, but they sure were having a good time.
My goofy little family at the Riverton fireworks. They were amazing. I thought our blankets were going to catch on fire a few times.
I tried this picture many times and this is as good as its going to get! We sure are happy to be home and always have our families around.
Ensign Peak. I'm not quite sure where the girls are looking!!
We made another quick little trip to St. George before Lexi started school. We got a great deal at Tuacahn and couldn't pass up taking the girls. They had a really good time. It was a great show. I'm so happy to be able to give the girls a little culture. We swam and had so much fun roasting in the heat.
We attempted to go on a hike. We even left early in the morning, but it was pretty hot and miserable. Tess kept saying, "I need to take a rest!"
We made a quick little trip to Sacramento, CA for my Uncle Don's wifes unexpected funeral. Don is such a great guy and although I didn't know his wife, it was a privilege to be able to support him in this hard time. His home in Placerville (where Thomas Kincade is from) is amazingly gorgeous. We flew out and didn't want to wait around on buddy pass flights, so we rented a car and drove home going right by lake Tahoe. It was gorgeous and well worth the ten hour drive.

Jesse and I have been on a hiking fetish. We went on one of our first hikes right before American Fork canyon. It was 2 miles pretty much straight up. We both had on new shoes and it was a painful hike, but it was rather beautiful and we had a lot of fun. Maverik was a trooper and seems to love the outdoors, he doesn't make a peep. (Don't you love the spit up coming out of his mouth)!!
Our kiddos went down to Kingston to spend some time with Grandma and their cousins. They sure love being there with her. I love that Tess is in love with animals of all shapes, sizes, and sliminess.

My cute little guys cheezy smile.
Up the mountain in bountiful to go scout some deer with Jesse. We were going to roast hotdogs and have smores with Grandpa. Grandpa forgot the marshmallows and I forgot the hot dogs!! We improvised and had a really weird dinner!

Little Maverik sporting some more spit up and cuteness.
Lexi's first day of preschool. She was pretty nervous, but had a good time. I was able to go in with her on her first hour of school. She is on the same table with Charlotte her cousin. They are so lucky to have eachother and are going to have a fabulous year. Lexi wants to be a hear saloner when she grows up. She loves gymnastics and is starting to get good at sounding out words. She is a beautiful girl. We are so happy to have her in our family.

These kids can make me crazy, but nothing can melt my heart like they do!
Maverik at 2 months is 11 pounds and is in the 50% for everything. He is all smiles and is starting to be able to hold toys and play. He is loved by our family and is spoiled like crazy.
