Summer Shananigans Part 1

After Jesse's surgery on May 10th he was recovering amazingly well but couldn't go back to work until sometime in August so we decided to live it up and have a lot of fun. When else will he have a whole summer off. Our summer has been jam packed with fun. This little cutie always seems to be posing!
This Bodee boy is going to be a basketball rockstar. He can literally play for hours and is getting really really good. I'm not a huge basketball fan, but I may become one if he keeps this up! Although he does call it a soccer ball.
Father's Day was kind of a blur, but it was fun to spend sometime with Jesse all year and its made it a special fathers day kind of every day. He actually was happy even if his face says otherwise!

Grandma and Grandpas house is always a fun adventure, especially when their cousins are there. These kids are inseparable and we are thrilled that they have eachother and LOVE eachother! They spent a lot of time dancing, singing, and playing together.
These two trouble makers were caught throwing rocks at whitney's car. They just look so cute doing it.
Bodee trying to get hugs and then steal her food!
We were able to go for an evening hike in Bryce Canyon. Jesse was three weeks out of surgery and did this mile long hike. He is such a trooper and desperately wants to be back to his old self and Whitney was like 36 weeks and incredibly uncomfortable.
The whole clan. Minus Zack :(
Who knew these trees smelled like strawberries. We got some weird looks.
This is a lamb the boys found on one of their fishing trips. His mom and brother died and this cute little guy died a couple days later. Sad.
Our next crazy adventure was camping at Antelope Island. It was very hot and bug infested, but we had a great time doing things we don't normally get to do.
 Staying cool with Kool Aide!
It was very beautiful. This was the first trip we could go on and have Tess and Lexi ride their bikes. Tess has always been kind of a whoose and doesn't have strength or desire to try things, but she has totally rocked it lately. She got her back walkover, rides a bike without training wheels, almost has her splits, and doesn't complain nearly as much. We are so proud of her and its so fun to be able to do more with the kids.
Our bike ride took us on a dirt road right past some bison. I was very uneasy but tried not to show my fear since my little girls were totally unprotected next to these giant animals.
We went on a long walk to get here hoping to be refreshed by the cool water. It was hot, smelly and full of brine shrimp!
 I love Lexi's face!
At the old ranch on the island Lexi got a knack for roping and Tess has a new love for butterflies. There were so many they were catching them like crazy and now she can't understand why they aren't so easy to catch back at home!
