We took a week long fabulously fun vacation to Sedona, Arizona. This trip is in backwards order! We went to a safari park which ended up being so hott you can barely explain it but a lot of fun too.
On the way home from our trip we ended up blowing a tire somewere in Arizona. We were lucky it didn't happen when we were on the highway but at the parking lot on our way to get dinner. We barely made closing of the tire shops by 15 minutes. Maverik was Jesse's big helper. It was cute watching them work together. We saw some incredible indian ruins this trip. What a beautiful valley.
Some fun pictures at the safari. Jesse and Bodee about peed themselves when a huge cobra snake struck at them. It was kind of scary considering it was only plexi glass between them. They might be scared for life.
Trying to escape the heat.
Slide Rock State Park for Maveriks birthday. The water was FREEZING but we all braved up and had a great time. Jesse breastfeeding Tess. lol
This cute little nugget had his 6th birthday while we were on vacation. He is such a trooper to just love life wherever he is. He is a super talented kid. He is crazy flexible and is the life of the party. He is cute as a button and we think he is amazing. We are so glad he is our caboose.
Nothing quite like a visit to Jerome, Arizona. This tiny little ghost town was a super fun place to visit. I really wish I was more on top of things because now 4 months later, I have no idea what this cool place was called!
I do however, remember this and the following pictures. This end one is when I felt pure hope and joy that I was going to live! This hike was in Kanab. We had a local, Jesse's cousin bucky and his cute family join us on this supposedly 8 mile hike which ended up being closer to 16 miles. Yes. Wow. We had enough snacks and water for 8 miles. It was sandy, not shaded, in June with 4 kids. There was certain times I truly thought the vultures would get us. We were thirsty, hungry and hot. But, we saw some serious cool things that not many people get the opportunity to see. We had to carry Tess and Maverik quite a few times and it was hard. But, we were very very proud of these kids. They are strong and amazing. Don't let the smiles fool you. We were SO tired.
Jesse is my inspiration. He is smart. Good looking. Crazy strong. A problem solver. Funny. And such a positive person. We are so lucky to have him in our life.
