December 2021

I can't wait to show these pictures to the boys girlfriends one day.
There's not a holiday I love at our home more than Christmas. The reflection on the back windows, the soft glow of the candlelight are just magical. And, Yes, I have to talk Jesse into decorating for Christmas early every year!
I was able to go on Lexi's school field trip to the National History Museum. I got to be in the group with her cute friends and we got to run around looking at some cool things, doing 3D printing and chasing boys. We had a lot of fun on the bus singing and dancing.
This has got to be one of my favorite pictures of my kids. They are so incredibly cute.
I love Maverik's creative little brain. He is full of life and fun.
Gingerbread House making with the Kemp family.
I love the fun that Christmas brings. So many great activities to do as a family.
We have the greatest neighborhood Santa Clause.
Tess has made tremendous progress in dance this year. She is always excited and looking forward to dance class. She practices all the time and is getting so good. We love watching her performances.
We went to a light show at the soccer stadium with the Meek family. It was so much fun throwing snow balls and seeing the fun light display.
We surprised the kids with a boat for Christmas! We've been talking about getting a boat for years now. We finally decided the kids aren't getting any older and we better not waste any time. We've named it the bat mobile or the black pearl. The verdict is still out! I've found the kids out in it multiple times!
My Mom took the family on the Polar Express this year. It was so much fun. Lots of fun singing and dancing with yummy hot chocolate and a cookie.
One of the first and best snowfalls of the year. Our amazing neighbors build a hill down there driveway everytime and it is such a fun sledding hill. We are so lucky to have them as neighbors.
Sledding for days! Bodee and Maverik have become quite the good little snowboarders.
Tess is having some serious growth spurts. She has well past up her 12 year old cousin.
Maverik's school Christmas party was so much fun. I love getting to volunteer at the kids classrooms. There was a cute girl who came up to me and said Maverik is so funny!
We got to go to Wyoming for our super cute nephew Brennecks baby blessing. We got to go sledding right by Kaylas parents house and stay in a really cute hotel. Bodee wouldn't take off the snowboard and Maverik was freakishly good at sledding. Lexi was still on crutches but luckly Zack was there to save the day with his snowmobile taking us up and down the mountain.
Christmas and Grandma and Grandpas
We did a little ice fishing on Christmas Eve. It was really cold, wet, but really fun when Lexi and Tess caught a fish. They were both so excited. It sure is fun to watch them swim under your hole.
Tess's chicken is seriously the best chicken. It follows you around and lets you hold it like a little puppy.
Ice fishing has kind of been our thing for this winter. Christmas Eve we went to Panguich Lake and New Years Day we went to Scofield and it was -17 degrees. I hade no idea how cold it would be. The inside of the tent was iced over. The buddy heater didn't seem to be working because it was so cold and sadly we ended up with 0 fish. But... still an adventure for the books.
The kids performed some songs for us. They were adorable.
We might have gone overboard a little bit with the presents this year. The last year Amy and Tylers family had so many presents we didn't want our kids to feel sad. Instead we had way too much stuff and it was so hectic opening presents. It was over so quickly. We barley had time to watch them open things and it was a little hard but it still ended up being an amazing Christmas.
Beth and Cody got us Rock Band for the family. It is so much fun to play together.
Bodee got a drone for Christmas so we tried it out in St. George. Bodee was freakishly good at flying it. Lexi ran it into a tree. Tess turned it on with Maverik holding onto it. And Maverik wasn't too shabby. It was hilarious and eventful. Definetely one to remember. Just when I thought it couldn't get worse, the next day Jesse took it out thinking he was bad to the bone... AND the wind picked up and we ended up chasing the drone down 2 streets and it ended up in a tree that Jesse then had to climb and hope he didnt fall! It was pretty funny.
We ran down to St. George for Lexi's birthday since Jesse only had a day off. We of coarse hit up Pizza Factory and went to see Sing 2. Super fun birthday.
Lexi lost her last baby tooth on the last day of her 11th year. She was pretty dramatic about it but got it out just in time for braces!
Well, we had another awesome snow storm. This time we not only went to the neighbors but we went up on the hill and sledded down the hill trail behind the house. It was snowing, and deer were around, and it was so much fun!!
New Years Eve
We had a super fun New Years party with the Kemps, Smiths and the Stewarts. We played a lot of games, ate yummy food, and the Stewarts were so kind to bring a money game that was a huge hit with the kids. Bodee ended up with like $25.
