February 2022

This cute boy was baptized. We really try to teach our kids about baptism and let them know that they have a choice of whether they want to be baptized or not. This boys desire never waivered. He has always had a sweet spirit about him. We were so lucky to have so many family and friends there to support him. This was the first baptism that we had to share with other kids. I didn't love sharing but it still turned out amazing. Especially for Bodee who hates any attention. He refused to sing a song with the family so he ended up singing with the primary kids. It was still special but I figured I didn't want him stressing on his day. Aunt Whitney gave a beautiful talk of coarse focused on soccer! We are so proud of him and hope he has righteous desires forever.
100th day of school and Market Days for Tess. I didn't realize how big of a deal this was for her and opted the first day for her not to do a booth. I realized how devastated she was and performed a miracle for the next day. She was thrilled. Sometimes its the little things that matter to them. I was grateful to be reminded of this.
Visiting Aiyana in college was a highlight on our way to St. George.
This is the way the Allen's chose to spend there free time. 14 minute plank holds. No, I'm not kidding. Bodee did it too.
A little bouldering in St. George in between soccer tournaments.
Some razor riding in the sand dunes ended out one of our days. Tears were definitely shed when Bodee and Jesse rolled down the hill on the 4 wheeler. Right over the handle bars and on top of the boys. Jesse took the brunt of it since he was able to be over Bodee, thank goodness. His helmet got cracked. So grateful we were prepared and safe.
We spent a night in Vegas to go to Lexi's competition the next day.
We went to a cirque de sol kind of show the night before that was incredible. The kids had so much fun. Especially because Grandma was able to make it.
This meet was my absolute favorite meet. It showed just how amazing she is. She had her first fall on the beam and handled herself so well. She ended up with a high 8.9 score which for a fall was an incredible score. She held her head up high and moved on with grace. She then went on to floor next and NAILED her floor routine. Her best score of the season with a high 9.6. She ended up in 2nd place overall. A real testament to her of not giving up. We were so proud of her.
Maverik finally lost his first tooth. Not before he had major shark teeth going on but he still looks so grown up.
Lexi and I are officially hunters... Well at least we have the permit to hunt. It was pretty fun doing it with Lexi and having Jesse be the one to help us with the shooting portion. We are the first girls ever in my side of the family to have it.
We then got to meet up with the Kemps to do some hiking. We did the narrows which was pretty terrifying actually.
We reenacted Jesses proposal to me in the exact spot.
And of coarse no trip is complete in St. George without dinosaur tracks!
